Speaker Podium Prototype
In order to provide the audio of each video portrait during the event, a set of speakers will be dedicated to each pillar nearby the projection. The speakers will need to be sheltered from the elements while still being able to amplify the voices of the projected faces. This enclosure will also meet the added goal of providing name identification for each storyteller, serving as a unique focal point for each portrait. Below, are draft designs for a Speaker Podium. The designs were created in Rhino, a 3D modeling software, with intent of being fabricated with a CNC router. This workflow will hopefully cut costs and fabrication time.
A design made for CNC router fabrication would allow each podium to be assembled without hardware, reducing transportation and storage needs. Below is an assembly diagram (the speaker modules are highlighted in pink):
